Mrs. Aguirre joined our staff in January of 2013. She earned two Master's Degrees (one is a Master in Educational Leadership and the other is a Master of Education) and her Bachelors of Science Degree from Dallas Baptist University. Mrs. Aguirre is Texas State certified as a Principal, General Education teacher, Special Education teacher, Gifted and Talented teacher, and English as a Second Language teacher. She also holds a National STEM Certification through the National Institute for STEM Education. She is a certified Catechist for the Fort Worth Diocese. She started her teaching career in 1998 and has taught in public, private, charter, and parochial schools. Mrs. Aguirre has served in various roles as an educator, such as, intern principal, grade level curriculum lead, mentor teacher, lead teacher, cheerleading coach, tutor, yearbook coordinator, seminar speaker, Teacher of the Year, committee member for several school wide initiatives, and served on a Catholic school accreditation team. Mrs. Aguirre is a product of Catholic School. She attended elementary school at St. Augustine in Dallas. In 2000, Mrs. Aguirre married her junior high school sweetheart, Edgar. Their son graduated from SJCS and is a senior at Nolan Catholic High School. The Aguirre family are parishioners of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Mrs. Aguirre loves teaching, so when she is not teaching, she can usually be found creating lesson plans and activities for her students! In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, reading the Bible, and books about education, of course!
