Mrs. Gavin graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in the area of Marketing from Midwestern State University. She worked in banking as a teller supervisor for four years. After that, she began teaching first grade at St. Mary’s in Gainesville, Texas. While teaching, she attended Texas Women’s University in Denton from where she received her teacher certification. She began teaching at Holy Rosary the first year it opened as the first grade teacher. After being at Holy Rosary for seven years, her family moved to Madison, Ala. There, she taught second grade at St. John’s for half a year, when her family was fortunate enough to move back to Texas. The following year, Mrs. Gavin returned to Holy Rosary as the Upper School Math teacher. She has over 24 years of teaching experience. Her family includes her husband, Michael, son, Drew, and his wife Stephanie and their sons Michael and Joseph. A daughter, Mandi, and her husband Brad. Both of her children graduated from Holy Rosary, (St. Joseph’s), and Nolan Catholic High School. Drew graduated from Oklahoma State University, and is an accountant in Dallas. Mandi graduated from the nursing program at the University of Louisiana, and is a nurse at Baylor, Scott and White.
