Mrs. Melissa Wolanin earned a Bachelor of Science from Kansas State University and worked in the consumer product industry after college. Following that, she was blessed to become a stay at home mom and avid volunteer at St. Joseph Catholic School, where her sons attended. During this time, she pursued further professional endeavors and earned her Certification as a Texas Educator. Having taught at St. Joseph since 2012, she has also earned certification through the National Institute for STEM Education. Mrs. Wolanin is also certified in the Diocese of Fort Worth Tier III Catechist Training.
Mrs. Wolanin and her husband Steven have been married 28 years. They have two children. The oldest, a son aged 24, is a graduate student in Criminal Justice. Their youngest, a son aged 21, is in his third year pursuing a degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management. She enjoys reading, spending time with her dogs, and enjoying activities with family and friends. She and her family have been parishioners at St. Joseph since 2001, where she has served the community as a volunteer in LifeTeen Faith Formation and Confirmation Preparation classes.
