Mrs. Sharon Waldrep has taught Kindergarten for 25 years here at St. Joseph. She worked at Shackelford Junior High in Arlington Independent School District teaching life science and coaching volleyball/ basketball for five years at Shackelford Junior before joining the Holy Rosary staff in 1999. Science, creative writing, reading, math and religion are particular passions for this ambassador. While her daughters were in school here at Holy Rosary, she coached volleyball and basketball as well.
Mrs. Waldrep helped co-found the Mentor Program many years ago, feeling that incoming families need to be nurtured with a warm acceptance and comfort when coming into a new academic arena.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Physical Education (double major) followed by a Master of Education from Stephen F. Austin University.
Mrs. Waldrep has a passion for seeing children develop academically and socially, while being happy and proud of their own accomplishments. “Seeing the ongoing love, respect and mutual admiration between families, faculty and staff here at St. Joseph, for many, many years is quite unique and refreshing in today’s world.” Mrs. Waldrep is married to Mark and has three children (Jeffrey, Danika and Ashten), a daughter and two sons-in-law and five amazing grandchildren. The family are parishioners at St. Vincent de Paul.
